ICAS Receives a Message of Support for Igbo Day 2019 from the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan

As the Igbo community of Saskatchewan prepares to host Igbo Day of Arts and Culture on August 3, 2019, the Igbo Cultural Association of Saskatchewan (ICAS) has received a message of support from one of the major sponsors of the 2019 Igbo Day, the Multicultural Council of Regina (MCOS).

In her message, MCOS Executive Director Rhonda Rosenberg expressed pleasure in supporting events like Igbo Day “that fulfill the multicultural stream of work called cultural continuity” in Saskatchewan.

Ms. Rosenberg wrote that the “Igbo Cultural Association of Saskatchewan is at the forefront in preserving and promoting Igbo-Nigerian culture and fostering an environment in which organizations and individuals can contribute to the multicultural development of Saskatchewan.”

ABOUT ICAS

ICAS was established in 2001 with the aim of uniting all members in the province that share our common beliefs and also to promote Igbo culture in our society. ICAS has made large strides since it’s inception and this resulted in the launching of our very own Masquerade dance group in 2002.
